About the role
The Manager, Financial Systems is a leadership role responsible for the operational stability and continuous improvement of the organization's financial systems landscape. This individual will oversee day-to-day "Keeping the Lights On" (KTLO) activities to ensure system reliability, data integrity, and business continuity, while also contributing to the planning and delivery of strategic new initiatives. The Manager will be based onsite in our Alpharetta, GA office and lead a collaborative team committed to delivering excellence in financial systems support and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Keeping the Lights On (KTLO) Operations
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational support of all financial systems, ensuring maximum uptime, system stability, and performance.
  • Lead incident response, triage, and resolution processes for financial system issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as needed.
  • Manage the ticket queue and prioritization of support requests, ensuring SLAs are consistently met.
  • Maintain system documentation including runbooks, support procedures, and known-issue logs.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to manage system upgrades, patches, and scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Proactively monitor system health and drive continuous improvement of KTLO processes to reduce recurring issues.
  • Coordinate end-user support and training related to financial system functionality.

New Initiatives & Project Delivery
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver new financial systems initiatives and enhancements.
  • Manage project workstreams including requirements gathering, solution design, testing coordination, and deployment.
  • Prioritize and balance the team's capacity between KTLO activities and new initiative delivery.
  • Drive the adoption of new tools, integrations, and process improvements that enhance the financial systems ecosystem.
  • Track and report project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial systems operational matters, escalations, and project updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, IT, and external vendors.
  • Communicate system changes, outages, and project milestones effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial systems management, ERP administration, or finance technology roles.
  • Proven experience managing or leading teams, including direct reports , cross-functional team members , and global remote employees .
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and close cycles.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct; familiarity with other ERP/financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or Workday Financials is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both operational support (KTLO) and project delivery simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred:
  • Project management experience or certification (PMP, Agile/Scrum).
  • Experience with financial system integrations, data flows, and middleware platforms.
