Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related field).
  • At least three (3) years of experience in system testing and validation across hardware, firmware, and software domains.
  • Firm understanding of system engineering principles, including hardware/firmware/software integration.
  • Experience creating test plans and product testing processes and methodologies, especially in cross-disciplinary environments.
  • Experience with the new product introduction (NPI) process
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams across different disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Manufacturing and customers).
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of data logging and analysis tools such as Matlab, Simulink and understanding of environmental testing conditions is preferred.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Summary:
Systems Engineer I will support the stability, performance, and efficiency of products by helping with the integration of hardware, firmware, and software components. This involves working across multiple teams to define and validate system architecture, conduct product testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with product requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apply system engineering principles & methodologies and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to define and document system interfaces based on product specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate integration, performance, and compliance with product requirements.
  • Analyze test data from prototypes and production units, providing feedback to design, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure specifications are met.
  • Conduct system-level testing and validation, ensuring all product requirements are met as outlined in the product requirement document.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Conduct both in-house and field testing of new and existing products to ensure real-world performance meets expectations.
  • As part of continuous improvement, identify potential improvements in product design, system performance and recommend solutions to enhance functionality and efficiency.
