Job description

Position:  Computer Systems Specialist
Work Schedule:  Full-time, Monday - Friday, 12 months
Start Date:  ASAP
Pay: $28.98 - $39.12 dependent on qualifications and based on the Non-Affiliated Handbook
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life and other benefits in accordance with the Non-Affiliated Summary of Benefits
Required Qualifications:





  • Two year degree in an accredited technology/network administration program plus two to three years experience; or equivalent of education and experience.
  • Experience preferred with Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and InTune, PaperCut, security management systems, Jamf MDM, Google Workspace management console, Patch-my-PC, and other management tools. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to apply good judgment when problem solving or executing instructions
  • Ability to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LAN/WAN systems, routers, Internet connections, and other technical aspects of networks.
  • Ability to learn rapidly changing technology.
  • Ability to solve problems and trouble shoot in a variety of hardware and software situations.
  • Ability to provide technology development support to administrative and support staff
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, correspondence, and memos; ability to write routine reports, speak effectively and interact positively with staff and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Extensive knowledge of networks, computer hardware and electronic systems.
  • Skilled in supporting multiple forms of technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with team imaging and reimaging of district computers. Assign computers to correct groups and ensure correct applications are associated.  Troubleshoot imaging issues and provide solutions and make recommendations.
  • Provide advanced Helpdesk support.  Analyze and troubleshoot issues and work with the team on solutions.  Identify trends and make recommendations to technology leadership for possible implementation.
  • Configure and coordinate printers for deployment, identify IP addresses, create printer accounts and groups in management software.
  • Create deployment packages for new software and software updates, determine methods and settings
  • Provide implementation, coordination and control of network applications. Troubleshoot and problem solve any issues and provide procedures.
  • Administer and respond to network antivirus software and security scans.
  • Configure security software and work with technicians to ensure desktops are up to date following latest policies.
  • Configure and manage various management tools including: MECM, JAMF, InTune, and other MDM software.
  • Research and evaluate more secure and efficient methods for managing district computers and make recommendations.
  • Support all district technology - iOS devices, Chrome, Windows, and SMART and other interactive technologies
  • Other related duties as assigned.
