About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to serve as the technical liaison between the consumer lending lines of business (Indirect and Direct Lending Non-Real Estate), internal support teams, information technology and external vendors, to develop and define business and technical requirements, deliver system solutions in response to business initiatives and to troubleshoot and resolve technical system related issues.
Essential Functions
  • Provide operational readiness through daily monitoring, maintenance, and support of critical company systems and service providers, supporting multiple lines of business across Lending Systems
  • Support in identifying problem trends and make recommendations for improvement /solution to management, such as system parameter changes, configuration and troubleshooting of terminal, PC, and mainframe based digital software/hardware products, and implementation of new or modification of existing data interfaces between service providers and clients
  • Administer system change controls and maintain system access in test and production environments by adhering to policies/procedures and documenting all changes to include updating exiting options not limited to terms, disclosures, and user access administration
  • Support, monitor, and evaluate system activity and performance, complete quality assurance checks, provide client training, supply ad-hoc reporting through database manipulation
  • Identify and document business and testing requirements for defined projects; translate requirements into specifications for technical project members and perform process improvement analysis
  • Serve as a liaison between internal clients, IT, and external vendors as well as participating in projects to implement technical business solutions
  • Follow system-oriented procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Basic knowledge of mainframe and web-based processing applications, technical concepts, and terminology
  • Basic knowledge of Business Objects preferred
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standards exist
  • Ability to apply basic algebra to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages
  • Ability to represent Commerce with external vendors
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's degree preferred
  • System analysis, operations or technical project management related work experience required
