Purpose:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a critical partner between business and technology teams, driving the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that support Athene's growth and innovation. You will lead requirements discovery, business process analysis, and solution design efforts while ensuring business needs are translated into actionable outcomes for development teams.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, collaboration, adaptability, and a bias for action. You will influence stakeholders across multiple business areas, identify opportunities for process improvement, and help deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and customer experiences. As Athene continues to grow through innovation and its strategic partnership with Apollo, you will play a key role in enabling technology solutions that support our evolving business needs.


Accountabilities:

Key Deliverables
  • Lead business analysis efforts for medium to large-scale projects involving multiple business and technology teams, ensuring successful delivery of business outcomes.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to identify business needs, dependencies, and solution opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define user requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories that support Agile delivery teams.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend innovative, scalable solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
  • Coordinate and mentor other Business Systems Analysts on project initiatives while fostering strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Leverage data, automation, AI-enabled tools, and business analysis best practices to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Experience:

What You Need to Bring
  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience or relevant experience, including leading requirements gathering and solution design for complex technology initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience working within Agile delivery frameworks or relevant experience, including Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business analysis methodologies including business process modeling, context diagrams, use cases, user stories, requirements elicitation, and process improvement.
  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technology teams to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions while influencing outcomes across multiple functions.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, adaptability, and AI fluency, with the ability to identify innovative opportunities to improve processes and business capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; BABOK certification preferred.

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
