The HRIS Analyst II is an experienced HR technology professional responsible for supporting, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing related HR technology platforms. This role partners with HR, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into system requirements, improve HR processes, maintain data integrity, support reporting and analytics, test system changes, and ensure HR systems effectively support current and future business operations across all HR disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, sense of belonging, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Supports the administration, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR technology platforms.
  • Partners with HR functional leaders and business stakeholders to assess needs, document business requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable system solutions.
  • Collaborates with HR, IT, vendors, and cross-functional partners to design, build, test, implement, upgrade, and support HR system functionality and business processes.
  • Develops, maintains, or supports ad hoc reports, dashboards, data extracts, and scheduled reporting to meet operational, compliance, audit, and leadership needs.
  • Coordinates HR data retrieval and validation for census files, audits, compliance reporting, vendor interfaces, and internal business requests.
  • Provides end-user support, troubleshooting, training, and guidance to HR team members and system users to promote effective and consistent use of HR technology.
  • Contributes to the HRIS roadmap and system strategy by identifying opportunities to improve automation, self-service, data accessibility, user experience, and process efficiency.
  • Supports delivery of system enhancements, new functionality, releases, and upgrades in alignment with business needs and HR technology priorities.
  • Participates in the development, testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of integrations between HR systems and other internal or external applications.
  • Collaborates with IT, legal, compliance, and data privacy stakeholders to help ensure secure storage, access, transmission, and governance of employee data.
  • Creates and executes test plans, test scripts, and user acceptance testing for configuration changes, enhancements, releases, integrations, and system defects.
  • Maintains awareness of vendor releases, product roadmaps, system updates, and emerging HR technology trends that may affect current or future functionality.
  • Performs regular data audits and validation activities to support data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity across HR systems and downstream integrations.
  • Works independently on moderately complex assignments, applying sound judgment and escalating risks, issues, or decisions when appropriate.
  • Analyzes and resolves system, data, reporting, and process issues that may impact an HR function, business process, or technical area.
  • Considers downstream impacts, future scalability, and change management needs when recommending or implementing system and process solutions.

Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, preferred
  • 3-5+ years of related systems support experience
  • Experience supporting HR technology platforms preferred
  • Experience supporting HR business processes such as employee data management, position management, organization management, payroll, benefits, compensation, talent, learning, recruiting, or time and absence preferred
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential employee data; committed to data privacy, data security, data quality, and appropriate access controls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including strong spreadsheet skills; experience with reporting tools, dashboards, data visualization, or business intelligence platforms preferred.
  • Ability to document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, test scenarios, test scripts, and user support materials.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of system configuration, security roles, integrations, data loads, calculated fields, reporting, release testing, or workflow/business process design preferred.
  • Compliance-minded with the ability to support applicable employment, payroll, benefits, privacy, audit, and records retention requirements.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage work to meet deadlines while balancing competing requests and aligning with HR and organizational goals.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a continuous improvement mindset and a sense of ownership for system accuracy, usability, and service delivery.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with HR, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Progression to this level is strictly restricted based on critical individual capabilities and business requirements; must be supported by market survey data.
