Job description

The Registered Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment for individuals with physical or cognitive impairments that limit their ability to perform daily activities. This role requires compassionate care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain professional communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies.
  • Practice within the scope defined by the licensing board and demonstrate competency in occupational therapy care.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop, implement, review, and maintain individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions and health management.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation according to policy standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.
General Responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals and patient care excellence.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include supervisory or management duties.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.
  • Current licensure in Occupational Therapy through the appropriate state board.
  • Valid BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.
  • Driver's license and auto insurance meeting state requirements if driving is necessary for the role.
