Job description

Responsibilities Noblis MSD is seeking to hire a Computer Engineer to support the US Navy out of Newport, RI. Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Computer Engineer will be responsible for: * Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs. * Provide support for installation of computers and computer-related equipment. * Apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems. * Analyze users' needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems including software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers. * Conduct troubleshooting and solve technical issues. This position will be based in Newport, RI. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science. * 3 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks. * US Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or able to obtain a DoD secret. * Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms. * Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships. Desired Qualifications * Prior work experience directly supporting NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 submarine Tactical Networks programs. * Familiarity with CANES (AN/USQ-208), SubLAN (AN/USQ-177), ADNS, and Tactical Networks Next Generation (TN Next Gen) architectures and modernization roadmaps across SSN, SSBN, and SSGN platforms. * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. * Proficient in Microsoft Applications. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
