Requisition Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring major development programs' Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEAs) are complete, thorough and remain up to date. They will also ensure that the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) address all risks and Requests for Technical Services (RTS) are submitted and tracked to completion in the DVPR. Additionally, this position will ensure test priorities meet program requirements, test properties are built correctly and delivered on time to meet program/validation timelines. This individual will work together with other Validation Engineers and identify synergies between program tests and test properties, resulting in more efficient use of validation resources and reduced validation expenses. This position requires a self-motivated person, that can operate with minimal supervision and occasionally requires independent evaluation.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEAs) are complete, thorough, and up to date in WRR. Work with Engineering Design and Reliability teams to complete FMEAs.
  • Identify program risks from FMEAs
  • Track and review Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) in WRR to address program risks.
  • Track, review and generate Requests for Testing Services (RTS) to validate risks have been successfully mitigated
  • Ensure validation results from RTSs are documented in the DVPR in WRR
  • Manage test priorities ensuring higher priority projects have precedent in the testing schedule
  • Manage test properties, ensuring they are built correctly and on time to meet program validation deliverables.
  • Develop in conjunction with PTC, validation plans for priority rankings for each test property
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Develop new test plans in conjunction with PTC, suppliers or 3rd party testing facilities
  • Up to 10% travel can be expected

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related degree is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Become a WRR Facilitator within one year (PACCAR Training & Certification)
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and presentation skills required.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Project, and related computer software required.
  • Ability to learn on the fly and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated team player with a high level of initiative, follow-through, and flexibility.
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking workload.
  • Proficiency with PACCAR systems, processes, procedures, and validation practices & principles.
  • Use established engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems.
  • Requires independent judgment and effective project management skills
