Job description

Job Summary:
U-Haul Company is seeking a detail-oriented Field Computer Specialist who will be responsible for maintaining computer and security systems across various locations. The role involves providing technical support, training users, and ensuring maximum uptime for systems while traveling to different sites.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain maximum uptime for computer systems and associated broadband connectivity.
• Implement and maintain field computer systems for all entities within the assigned area.
• Support and train users as needed.
• Distinguish between user error and problems requiring escalation to other support teams or software vendors.
• Identify and coordinate solutions for security gaps and compliance issues.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience with electrical 120v and low voltage wiring, including conduit work
• Experience with Windows PCs/tablets and printer installation, troubleshooting, maintenance
• Experience with iOS devices including iPhone and iPad troubleshooting
• Experience with networking, including VoIP, wiring, router/switch installation
• Experience with burglar alarm systems including wiring & device installation, troubleshooting
• Experience with PTI access control systems, including wiring & device installation, troubleshooting
• Experience with security camera systems, DVR/NVRs, coax and IP, including wiring and camera installation, troubleshooting, and TV wall mounting
• Experience with door hardware and lock installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Willingness and ability to perform all duties mentioned and more
• Experience with technologies such as networking, administration, security-monitoring equipment, storage gates, alarm systems, doors, digital video equipment, printers, computers, VoIP, analog phones, air phones and cash drawers
Preferred:
• Experience and knowledge of U-Haul business and systems
