We're hiring an Information Systems Engineer to support and secure test equipment (TE) and engineering lab systems for advanced aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you'll combine systems administration and cybersecurity to ensure test environments are secure, compliant, and fully operational across Linux, Windows, and networked systems.
You'll work closely with engineering, IT, and cybersecurity teams to support test system integration, troubleshooting, and compliance, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving in secure, mission-critical environments.
Location: Tucson, AZ (onsite) Relocation Assistance Available.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; Secret clearance (active or obtainable) Strong Preference for Active Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and validate test systems to ensure Windows/Linux servers, OT assets, and integrated environments meet NIST 800-171 compliance requirements
  • Develops secure test environments and ensures cybersecurity compliance of test equipment using tools like Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti
  • Install, configure, and maintain software, patches, and system updates
  • Troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, system performance, and test integrity
  • Support integration of test systems into secure/controlled networks
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and compliant system changes
  • Maintain system availability, reliability, and operational readiness
  • Support flight test and production test environments

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field
  • 5+ years of experience in administering Windows and Linux servers in secure environments
  • Ability to develop and maintain cybersecurity-compliant test environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for production and development test equipment
  • Active Secret security clearance or obtainable (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171 compliance or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Experience supporting OT systems, networked test environments, or third-party integrations
  • Ability to validate system configurations and ensure compliance documentation readiness
  • Experience with user account management, software installation, and system support
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+, CISM, etc.)
  • Experience supporting test systems, lab environments, or operational technology (OT)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (Nessus, Splunk, Ivanti)
  • Experience working in classified or secure environments
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts across complex, multi-system environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support technical users and engineering teams
