Job description

Our client is a global leader in remote satellite-based communications solutions that solve our customers’ toughest communications challenges in urgent time frames and under extreme conditions. They specialize in enabling complex communication networks that are critical to the operations of the Department of Defense, Civilian Government, and commercial markets.

They are seeking Senior Computer System Engineer / Architect to design, implement, document, and maintain secure IP networks that sustain worldwide DoD network communications and reach-back connectivity between CONUS and OCONUS theaters.

Qualified Senior Computer System Engineer should have the below skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent demonstrated experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining IP networks in complex DoD environments.
  • Strong Windows/Linux administration, including STIG hardening, group policy, backup/recovery, and log review.
  • Hands-on network skills at the CCNP level or better across switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing STIG/RMF security controls and documenting configurations.
  • Required certification — DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline. Must hold one of: CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, or CND.
  • Required certification — Cisco CCNP

This role is located on site in Fayetteville, NC. Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI level government clearance. Salary for this role is between $90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience and contract requirements.
