Job description

Position Purpose
A subject matter expert in research operations oversight, billing compliance assurance, and study lifecycle fidelity. This position supports the integrity of research execution by monitoring alignment between protocol intent, coverage analysis assumptions, study documentation, and downstream operational outcomes. The role focuses on early identification of operational drift, compliance risk, and recurring breakdowns across the entire research portfolio to support proactive intervention and continuous improvement.
Nature and Scope
Reporting to department leadership, this position operates within research operations and collaborates closely with Research Analysts, Research Systems staff, study teams, and compliance partners. The role's scope oversees the financial and billing compliance functions of the full study portfolio for the department and ensures appropriate coverage analysis decisions are made and implemented.
The position is responsible for:
  1. Reviews and makes recommendations for adjustments in budgeting and processes to align with industry standards and trends.
  2. Independently identifying and implementing improvement measures to enhance compliance, workflow efficiency, and overall study portfolio optimizations to increase revenue and patient experience.
  3. Ensures cross'study oversight, analysis, and escalation related to research billing compliance, coverage analysis guidelines, protocol adherence, and operational integrity across the study lifecycle.
  4. Directing the work of the Research Analyst team with minimal oversight.
