Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst V opening for our client.

Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 6 months

Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst V will lead complex business systems initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to define requirements, develop solutions, and support successful implementations. This role serves as a functional subject matter expert, driving application enhancements, testing efforts, system integrations, and enterprise-level projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis activities for complex application projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and technical requirements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify process improvements and ensure technology solutions align with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and coordinate user acceptance testing activities.
  • Serve as a functional lead for enterprise applications, system enhancements, conversions, and integrations.
  • Perform data analysis and data mapping activities to support system implementations and business initiatives.
  • Coordinate project meetings, document decisions, track milestones, and support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced analysts.
  • Support post-implementation activities, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of business systems analysis, operational analysis, or related experience.
  • Experience leading complex projects and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating functional specifications, test plans, and supporting system testing.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert for enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of system integrations, application architecture, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience supporting banking, financial services, regulatory, acquisition, or conversion-related projects.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $39.47 - $65.78/hour.
