Job description

Position Overview Provides technical and administrative support to the Leisure Services and Public Works Departments in the development and implementation of the city-wide asset management program. Assists with asset inventory, data collection, records management, GIS integration, digital twin initiatives, and system improvements to support long-term infrastructure planning and operational efficiency. Position Functions Assist with the creation of digital asset records for new or replacement assets, including facilities, water plants, lift stations, parks, and equipment.

Assist with researching and collecting legacy asset information from various databases, and formatting for entry into the enterprise software system. Assisting with quality control and validation of all asset records. Creation of spreadsheet templates to be used for importing data into new or existing asset records.

Gathering and organizing documents, manuals, photographs and other information to be attached to electronic asset records. Working in the field to collect asset information, including addresses, equipment data, and taking photographs to enhance development of conditional assessment and lifecycle data. Using mobile software technology for mapping GIS derived assets and providing verification of existing spatial data.

Provide manager support for in person and web-based end user training of the asset management software system. Assist with expansion of asset data for use in a digital twin. Perform other administrative or record management duties as assigned.

Drive to and from various city work locations. Assist with Department of Leisure Services projects and perform additional duties, as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School or GED.

Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate program with an interest and aptitude to work in a municipal government setting. General administrative skills, including proficiency with computer-based operations and software systems, ability to type 50-60 WPM. Strong organizational skills.

Valid driver license. Must obtain a Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of employment. PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with electronic asset and records management programs such as Tyler, Laserfische, GIS, etc.

Familiarity with infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and other municipality owned asset types. Willingness to adopt AI and emerging technologies.
