Treetown Tech seeks Embedded Software Engineers to join their multi-disciplinary engineering team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a hybrid remote position offering schedule flexibility and the opportunity to work from home several days per week depending on project needs. Responsibilities
  • Develop embedded software for innovative R&D projects in both consumer and military space
  • Work closely with the software department and project teams to solve problems, design software architecture, and transfer knowledge
  • Test and debug new and existing platforms
  • Maintain software documentation and version control
  • Design and develop Windows and Linux-based software test verification tools
Career Opportunity (Qualifications)
  • 2+ years of experience developing embedded software
  • Experience and proficiency with C or C++ programming; Python is a bonus
  • Good understanding of low-level microcontroller programming
  • Passion for developing quality software and software development methodologies
  • Experience programming and debugging microcontrollers on PCBs
  • Experience with unit test and CI/CD toolchains for embedded development preferred
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering desired (experience matters most)
  • Ability to work directly with end-users and customers
  • Collaborative nature, enjoys an R&D and prototyping environment, works both as part of a team and as an active individual contributor
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow for developing, simulating, and validating control algorithms is a bonus

  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and/or ORMs (ODB, Django, SQLAlchemy) is a bonus
