Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Officer will monitor the premises from the security booth and monitor containers in the premises.
Shifts
Monday through Friday 10 pm-6 am
Saturday and Sunday 10 am-6 pm
Responsibilities
Patrol the premises and maintain a high level of visibility
Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel access the facility
Monitor surveillance cameras
Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations to determine appropriate actions.
Manage conflicts effectively by utilizing conflict management techniques to resolve disputes among individuals on-site.
Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or safety hazards and reporting them accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
Provide first aid assistance when necessary; CPR certification is preferred.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing necessary documentation and support during investigations.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position is preferred
Valid Guard Card in NC
High school diploma/GED
Strong high-level computer skills
Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
First aid certification is highly desirable; CPR certification is a plus.
Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability
Ability to operate surveillance equipment
High level of integrity and professionalism
Attention to detail and strong observational skills
Ability to work without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
