The Software Test Manager provides leadership, oversight, and direction for all aspects of software testing. The Software Test Manager ensures the software solutions meet objectives with the high-quality outputs through efficient operating processes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and motivate software testing team members to ensure that testing projects and processes meet defined objectives.
  • Ability to perform risk-based analysis and testing.
  • Familiar leading and developing automated software solutions.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, and staff development in both Eaton and our new software center in Manila.
  • Monitor the quality of test plans, automation scripts, and validation results, focusing on continuous improvement in effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure all testing activities are performed on schedule to support project timelines.
  • Maintain and enforce up-to-date testing procedures and work instructions.
  • Implement and own the testing strategy and planning (functional, integration, regression, performance).
  • Act as a process leader, mentoring your team, ensuring best practices, and inspiring a quality-first mindset.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to make decisions that support business objectives and ensure successful product delivery.
  • Establish and manage expense and capital budgets for testing, including a long-term capital plan for future needs.
  • Develop an annual plan projecting major testing projects, staffing needs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain an environment of ownership and accountability for projects and timelines.
  • Consistently models the Company values and expected behaviors.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field Required
  • Master of Science (M.S) Engineering, Computer Science or related field Preferred
  • 10+ years engineering in SDLC, testing and validation Required
  • in an agile environement Preferred
  • 5+ years supervisory experience and technical leadership Required
  • Embedded experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, XRAY, TeamCenter preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of SDLC practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk-based testing concepts and methodologies
  • Proven success growing and scaling high performing global engineering teams with a collaborative culture.
  • Ability to effectively utilize & partner with outside resources to achieve the budget and project objectives.
  • Proven success leading and organizing cross-functional meetings and teams in a professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written (including presentation) communication skills.
  • Good listening skills and receptive to the ideas of others.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
