Job description

Do you enjoy the process of solving technical issues? Are you self-motivated and able to work both independently and on a team? Do you have a knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and software as well as file/folders permissions?
If so, you could be the perfect candidate for our Technical Support role at ICCU!
ICCU's mission is to help our members achieve financial success. As Technical Support, you will work on projects independently and as part of a team to satisfy technical needs for the Credit Union and our members.
At work, your Primary Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide support (tier 2) for IT related issues that are not able to be resolved by the Help Desk Department.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues using available resources.
  • Provide a centralized contact for Help Desk Department.
  • Offer support to minimize system downtime impact.
  • Identify, escalate and prioritize issues that need tier 3 support per the Decision Making Hierarchy.
  • Follow-up and execute accountability on existing open tickets.
  • Follow-up with team members to ensure full resolution of issues.
  • System access configuration for new users, user removal and user changes.
  • Basic level security badge creation and management
  • Send reports related to KPIs and department accomplishments
  • Provide messaging to the credit union on technical issues including current status and resolutions
  • Monitor permissions management for selected systems, ensure proper system access for users.
  • Create and maintain asset management policies and procedures
  • Manage asset lifecycle tracking including the decommissioning of assets
  • Ensure asset costs stay within the IT budget
  • Maintain compliance with asset policies
  • Conduct internal audits on assets
  • Provide reports to IT management regarding asset management health
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preference given for candidates with a post-secondary degree in computer science/computer information systems, related field or a combination of related experience and education.
