Position

Title: Head, Department of Computer Science – College of Science and Mathematics
Location: Glassboro, New Jersey
Work type: Regular Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and outcomes‑oriented leadership to foster department growth.
  • Promote faculty research and develop innovative undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Enhance academic, experiential, and entrepreneurial opportunities for students and faculty.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external and internal collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Oversee administrative functions, including budget management and program development.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Current rank of Full Professor, or equivalent professional experience warranting appointment to professor with tenure.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing an academic department and mentoring research and teaching faculty.
  • Outstanding record in leadership, program development, strategic budget management, teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, oversight of research programs, and mentorship.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

Salary

Annual base salary range: $165,000 to $210,000. Additional compensation may be considered based on experience, skills, or other factors.
