POSITION:                         IT SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT:                  IT
REPORTS TO:                   IT DIRECTOR
PAY RATE:                         $20.00/HOUR

SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To maintain the integrity of the Casino’s management information systems.  This includes the administrative network, casino gaming system, food, and beverage system, cashiering system and the timekeeping system.
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES:
  • The IT Specialist’s main responsibility is to ensure that the Casino’s Management Information Systems are operating and providing the information required by Management
  • Responsible for assisting training staff on new systems and help as needed 
  • Coordinate the monitoring of the slot machine meters recorded on the on-line system and the generation of the reports required for marketing, accounting, and the General Manager 
  • Responsible for the software support of the Casino and maintaining the automated timekeeping system
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be age 21 or older and qualify for a gaming license.
  • Computer Science or related Business Degree and Certification preferred
  • Exposure to wide variety of software including spreadsheets and work-processing systems
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace
  • Minimum three years of experience as systems operator with computer maintenance experience 
  • Network experience preferred 
  • Must be flexible and have good learning curve, work accurately and be able to meet deadlines.  User instruction experience required
  • Much repetitive motion, excellent hand and finger dexterity, good visual acuity, ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to sit for four hours or more working on a keyboard
