Engineer Senior

The candidate will work as part of a highly skilled team to design, fabricate, modify and evaluate electronic apparatus, components or circuitry for use in shore based as well as underwater systems. They will design, test, inspect and update electronic systems, components and equipment along with software. They will evaluate systems and recommend and implement design modifications or equipment repair, using the latest technology. HOW AN ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems. Develop and maintain software on both Linux and Windows platforms and develop software for instrument control.
Experience with MATLAB, C++, C#, SQL, etc. is desired for development of software systems

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Proficient in Systems Administration for both Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux systems operating systems. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Red Hat Linux preferred. Experience with installation, patching and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows platforms.
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
