Posting Summary
Seeking motivated individual wishing to work part-time teaching Introductory Computer Science course recitations. The usual course load is two recitations per term. The duties are those involved in counseling students in the practical hands-on computer sessions and will include teaching remotely and/or teaching face-to-face, correcting assignments, consulting on programming problems, and grading examination papers. In addition to these teaching responsibilities, the position requires the scheduling of two lab support hours per week and one office hour per week during the term.

Minimum Education and Experience
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in a related field is preferred although candidates with strong computer science background and teaching experience will be considered.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Although guided instruction will be given throughout the term, required skills include:
• Familiarity with Windows /MAC OS X operating systems
• Basic computer knowledge
• Basic knowledge of programming in some language
• Basic MS Excel knowledge
• Good people skills
• Proficiency with presentation software
Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
