What you will be doing at XCOM RAN by Globalstar
As a Software Engineer, you will write software using Modern C/C++ and Python software for high performing 5g wireless systems. This includes designing, developing, coding, testing, and verifying major system features that include the PHY layer of the 5g stack, 3GPP control plane for 5g Remote Radio Units (RRU) and telemetry data log collectors. You will participate in and enhance software processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and continuous integration. Also, you will work with systems design and test teams to integrate and validate novel 3GPP wireless technology.
What you will bring to XCOM
  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
  • 0 - 3+ years of recent and hands-on software development experience with Modern C++
  • 0 - 1+ years of recent and hands-on Python coding experience
  • 0 - 2+ years of experience developing software for Linux systems
  • 0 - 2+ years of experience with 5g L1 (PHY Layer) specs and stack development

It's a bonus if you have:
  • MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
  • Git and software configuration management (SCM) concepts
  • CMake and GNU Make
  • Networking concepts, protocol, and networking tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Unit testing and end to end system integration testing
  • Debugging techniques for real-time software applications
  • Optimizing software performance

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
