Position Summary:

The office assistant position provides office coverage, including greeting visitors, answering the phone and other duties as assigned by the Administrative Assistant in the Political Science department. This person will also work closely with professors and must be able to keep confidentiality of tests, research papers and student names that are seen when working in the office.

Essential Functions:
Must meet Federal Work Study eligibility requirements.
Assist students and visitors with general questions and provide directions to various locations on campus.
Assist with general office work such as answering phones, filing, copying, and organizing/distributing incoming mail, running errands on campus and refill printers with paper/toner as needed.
Perform additional job related duties as assigned.
