Job description

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking product manager with a thorough understanding of today's challenges and opportunities in the field of interoperability, integration and API-driven development, to help meet the needs of our customers connecting systems and services to model business processes and build connected applications. 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a leading role in creating the product strategy and roadmap, defining new product capabilities based on market needs, and executing the delivery of technology and applications to enterprises running life-critical applications on InterSystems products. 

You will be working closely with stakeholders from across the organization, including the integration & platform engineering teams, cloud operations, sales engineering and marketing, as well as key customers, ensuring everyone has a common understanding of the specific challenges we're facing, their relative priority, and the solutions we're implementing to address them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with customers, prospects, and industry experts to identify gaps in our portfolio; leverage market research to inform build/buy/partner decisions for addressing those gaps; and build effective working relationships with technology partners.
  • Based on market research, analysis and expertise, formulate a strategy and roadmap for our existing and new product offerings around interoperability, integration and full-stack development. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to align product development and technology partnerships with user needs and business goals. 
  • Drive excitement, adoption, and satisfaction for new product releases by ensuring that InterSystems stakeholders and partners are well-prepared with the appropriate information, collateral, and messaging.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in software engineering or product management are a plus.
  • At least 7 years of experience with integration products and technologies, such as data integration, business process modeling, API management, web services, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Solution Architect.
  • Hands-on experience with Python or comparable programming language, REST, and JSON. Able to build quick demos and prototypes, optionally leveraging AI tools to accelerate development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills, able to take projects from a fudgeable start to a fully documented finish.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence, database management, full-stack application development and cloud technologies and concepts is a desirable.
