Job Description

The Role:
General Motors is seeking a skilled Workday Integrations Configurator to design, develop, and maintain robust integration solutions within our Workday platform. This role will be crucial in ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across various HR and business systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, configure, and test Workday integrations using various Workday integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Studio).

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements, translating them into technical specifications.

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Perform root cause analysis and resolution of integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and system stability.

  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of Workday integrations.

  • Stay up-to-date with Workday updates and new features, assessing their impact on existing integrations and recommending appropriate adjustments.

  • Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex integration scenarios and optimize integration performance.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of HR Technology experience (SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday).

  • 3 to 5 years of recent hands-on experience in building and debugging Workday Integrations including EIB, Connectors (PECI, WECI, CCW etc.) and Workday Studio, and creating Workday custom reports, calculated fields and XSLTs.

  • Demonstrated experience with **Computer Program Design Techniques** for building scalable and maintainable integration solutions.

  • Demonstrated integration experience in Human Resources related domains (Onboarding/Offboarding, Payroll, Benefits, Timekeeping, etc.).

  • Experience in creating detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs.

  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing, Web Services (SOAP & RESTFul) and integration patterns.

  • Proven ability in determining IT system requirements to effectively translate business needs into technical specifications for Workday integrations.

  • Hands-on experience with **Product Configurators**, specifically within the Workday platform (e.g., configuring integration templates, business process frameworks).

  • Familiarity with Web Programming Languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for advanced integration scenarios and API interactions is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Workday's data model and security framework.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Extend

  • Workday Pro Certification (Integrations) is highly desired

  • Hands-on experience with Java programming language.
