About the job:
As a Computer Systems Architect, you will design, manage, and optimize virtualization and storage platforms in a secure, high-performance environment. You will work across infrastructure technologies, support critical systems, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years with a Master's degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher
  • Experience designing and architecting virtualization and storage solutions

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems or related field
  • Experience with containerized environments
  • Experience with system engineering across diverse infrastructure environments
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., RMF, STIG, JSIG, ICD 503, JAFAN)
  • VMware experience or certification (vCenter, ESXi 6.5+)
  • Experience with VDI solutions (Horizon, Hyper-V)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows domain architecture (Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, Certificate Authorities)
  • Experience with SAN storage systems (e.g., NetApp ONTAP, E-Series)
  • Experience with backup platforms (e.g., Cohesity, PPDM)

Responsibilities:
  • Administer virtualization and storage platforms across enterprise environments
  • Lead and contribute to infrastructure initiatives across multiple technologies
  • Manage and support core infrastructure components including hypervisors, storage systems, system updates, and patching
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex system, application, and access-related issues
  • Ensure reliable operation of multi-user systems, collaborating with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and end users
  • Administer backup and recovery processes, including file system and disk space management
  • Maintain and enforce system security, including antivirus management and compliance with information security standards
  • Manage audit logs and security controls in coordination with Information Systems Security teams
