Job description

The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for performing complex laboratory tests on patient specimens to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This individual must demonstrate precision, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of laboratory science and technology. The individual performs diagnostic testing on blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids; operates and maintains laboratory equipment; analyzes test results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare providers; ensures quality control and compliance with safety protocols; maintains accurate patient records and laboratory documentation; collaborates with healthcare professionals to interpret results and support patient care.
