Salary: Base Salary ranges from $62,700 to $104,700, commensurate with experience.

Biology Major: Commonly accepted bachelor's (or higher degree) majors for a Florida temporary educator certificate include: Bacteriology, Biology, Biological Sciences, Biomechanics, Botany, Dentistry, Doctor of Medicine, Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Genetics, Kinesiology, Life Science, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy
  3. Other Majors: For other degree majors, passing the FTCE Subject Area Exam in Biology 6-12 is required. This computer based test is 80 multiple-choice questions and 2.5 hours. If at first you don't succeed, you may retest every 30 days. The exam costs $150, unless you have an approved Military Vet or Spouse Certification Fee Waiver or Retired First Responder Fee Waiver.
