Job description

Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. is seeking a Web Content Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing team.  The Web Content Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of website content for products and promotions, maintenance of Brandt websites, developing and collaborating to create the visual presentation, layout and functionality of the website, and the overall website experience. Marketing strategy for online tactics and new applications will also be a part of this role. This role will also serve as a web advisor to the Brandt marketing team, and reports to the Manager of Web Content.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain web style guidelines, templates, and design standards to ensure brand consistency across all online platforms.
  • Optimize and enhance web features, layouts, and functionality to improve usability and accessibility.
  • Ensure website navigation and content organization enable users to quickly and easily find relevant information.
  • Assist in testing and validating website development initiatives to confirm functionality and accuracy before launch.
  • Create and manage content for new products, promotions, and programs, maintaining alignment with company branding and messaging.
  • Conduct keyword research to identify and leverage organic growth opportunities, implementing SEO strategies to increase search visibility and engagement.
  • Track and report SEO and content performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and guide ongoing optimization.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure online advertisements and promotional campaigns are correctly linked, tracked, and measured.
  • Work with internal teams to update news, testimonials, events, and company location content accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and implement personalization strategies, personas, and user journey enhancements that drive customer engagement.
  • Monitor and maintain schedules for all web and design projects in collaboration with vendors, IT, and marketing to ensure timely completion.
  • Plan and execute data-driven improvement initiatives, contributing ideas for new pages, user flows, and content strategies to enhance site performance.
  • Manage product information lifecycles—including new, existing, and discontinued products—to ensure web content remains current and accurate.
  • Document stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into clear, actionable project specifications for development teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent attention to detail with superior spelling, grammar, and content accuracy skills 
  • Proven ability to design, create, and manage engaging web content that aligns with brand standards and enhances user experience.
  • Strong understanding of web design principles, accessibility standards, and user-centered design practices to translate complex concepts into intuitive digital experiences.
  • Proficiency with web analytics and tracking tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google Data Studio, to measure and optimize site performance.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience implementing on-page and technical optimization strategies to improve visibility and engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, including campaign creation, tracking, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations, content delivery networks, and tools such as data asset managers, product information managers (PIMs), or customer relationship managers (CRMs).

Required Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Web Design, Digital Media, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in web design, publishing, and content management, including creating and maintaining websites through a Content Management System (CMS) such as Kentico or Drupal.
  • High degree of technical proficiency and design literacy, including experience applying web design brand style guidelines and maintaining visual consistency across platforms.
  • Experience performing quality assurance, troubleshooting, and debugging of web applications and content.
  • Experience managing multilingual or localized websites.
  • Experience in the heavy equipment or manufacturing industry considered an asset.
  • Proficient in English and French considered an asset.
