Responsibilities
Learn It Academic Services is looking for Teachers to work in our K-12 classrooms. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children. Potential positions could include the specialized areas of art, music, physical education, health, family & consumer sciences, and technology education. Other sought-after positions include certified special educators, ESL teachers, and reading and math specialists or interventionists.
In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor and fellow educators, as well as working with a diverse population of students virtually and/or in person. This team works with The School District of Philadelphia to deliver the highest-quality education services to its Non-Public partners. As a teacher, you will be working closely with school personnel, program supervisors, and parents, remotely and/or in person.
Responsibilities such as collaborating with school administrators, classroom teachers, and parents; planning and delivering effective instruction and maintaining accurate records are essential to the position. Effective classroom management and providing a safe and positive learning environment are also key responsibilities. Teachers are additionally responsible for attending staff meetings and completing required administrative tasks in a timely fashion.
**Teachers in these positions will serve Non-Public schools throughout the Delware County Area.
Qualifications
  • Valid State of Pennsylvania Primary or Secondary teaching certificate preferred.
  • Classroom teaching experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with various educational technology platforms preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Work location is in a school building where employees will need to be able to go up and down stairs when holding in-person sessions.
  • Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head when holding in-person sessions.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have reliable internet and a working personal computer with updated software and web-camera.
  • Must have hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer, as well as experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suites, Zoom/Meets, and other Ed Tech platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility are preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and complete basic tasks with minimal supervision.
