Human Factors Engineers 3/4

Position located in Huntsville, Alabama, supporting the Broadsword program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate content and conduct of customer demonstrations of BSW Program and software
  • Ensure successful coordination with all stakeholders, including Program Management, Leads, and technical team members
  • Plan demonstration storyboard, agenda, win theme, success criteria
  • Design, review and brief presentations to program leadership and prospective customers
  • Coordinate development goals, fixes, need dates, code complete milestones
  • Prepare, review, integrate and test demonstration products developed by software and SE teams
  • Request defect correction, integrate hotfixes
  • Manage logistics including facilities, infrastructure, hardware
  • Identify, manage and communicate risks
Basic Qualifications
  • Level 3: Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Level 4: Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must have experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers.
  • Must have experience with Visualization Tools.
  • Must have experience with software development: C++, Python, Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Must have experience with model‑based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile framework (e.g., Jira/Confluence).
  • Must have experience with MS Office Tools (PPT, Doc, etc.).
  • Must have a current/active DoD government Secret clearance to start.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation.
Network Engineer (26‑197)

This role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. It requires on‑site work with no remote options.

Essential Functions
  • Have 1+ years of related experience and a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Be a proven network engineer with hands‑on mid‑level experience and knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Have prior experience with presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Have experience working both collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects.
Basic Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree.
  • Must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start.
  • Must have a current, active in‑scope DoD‑issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
  • Industry vendor certifications from Juniper (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE) are a must.
  • Previous experience with authentication and encryption methods/capabilities (TACACS+, Active Directory, GEM‑X) and virtualization technologies such as VMware, vCenter, and vSphere.
  • Automated testing framework, Python, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Hands‑on experience with WAN optimizers, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior C2BMC network experience is highly desired.
  • Knowledge, skill sets, or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (e.g., Wireshark).
  • Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtualization is highly desired.
  • Agile development and related test methodologies.
  • Handling large data sets, using spreadsheet analysis, and employing related tools.
  • Development of action plans based on data analysis, documenting deficiency reports, and presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document).
  • A solid understanding of JUNOS is preferred.
