Job description

Overview

Motrex LLC is an exclusive service provider to Stryten Energy, a $1 billion leader in stored electrical energy solutions, including batteries and associated equipment and services for the transportation and industrial markets. We have over 2,500 employees working at manufacturing sites throughout the country.

Motrex's corporate headquarters is located just north of Atlanta in Alpharetta, GA. The internship will begin in May of 2027 and end in August 2027, and will be a 40-hour work week with expectations of being on-site each day; no remote work. This is a paid opportunity, but housing is not provided, so you must have both housing and transportation.

The Corporate Procurement department intern will work to enhance our digitization of metrics within our various SAAS tools.

Responsibilities
  • Work with our ERP system (Coupa, IQMS, and JDE) to optimize the user interface, metric reporting, and backend support for supplier collaboration
  • Work with our business intelligence tool, Tableau, for dashboard creation and automation
  • Data Management for the supply chain
Qualifications

We are looking for students:

  • Working towards a BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology/Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
  • With a GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • You must have housing and transportation
  • The position requires working on-site daily

During your internship, you may be exposed to the following areas:

  • KPIs used in tracking supplier performance
  • Learn to utilize a universally used business intelligence tool (Tableau)
  • Experience interacting with suppliers and Stryten personnel to better understand how costing and strategic negotiations are performed
