Under the supervision of the IT Systems Manager, IT Interns will support LC Plus Technology in completing a large-scale laptop refresh and Windows 11 migration. The IT Intern will assist with imaging, hardware setup, device deployment, and system decommissioning.ย ย 


Essential Competencies:

  • Prepares, images and configures laptops for deploymentย 
  • Supports Windows 11 installation and updates
  • Unboxes, tags, inventories and documents new hardware
  • Prepares returned equipment for resale or recycling following approved data sanitation
  • Provides on-site technical support and follows documented support workflows
  • Assists staff in basic setup, login support and general troubleshooting
  • Demonstrates respect, reliability and willingness to learn
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to staff
  • Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Handles equipment and user data responsibly and confidentially

Requirements

  • Completion of high school/HSED with an interest in information systems, computer science or related fields is desired; enrollment in college or university level IT degree program preferred
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
  • Previous technical support or customer service preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment safely
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
