About the Role:
We are looking for ambitious movie-obsessed students to join our IMAX Internship Program this Summer. This 10-week program focuses on hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world work experience in a collaborative and innovative environment. The internship will take place from June to August in the Playa Vista, California office.
This role focuses on understanding audience behavior and engagement through data. The intern will support CRM efforts while working with real data pipelines to organize, analyze, and derive insights from audience data. The position offers an opportunity to explore what drives fan engagement and retention, contributing to more personalized and effective marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the IMAX.com team to QA and audit audience data across platforms and systems

  • Trace data flows from source systems to downstream marketing tools

  • Structure and organize audience data for personalization and targeting efforts

  • Complete a final project analyzing IMAX audiences and key drivers of engagement and retention

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience working with data using SQL, Python, or R

  • Experience analyzing and deriving insights from large or complex datasets

  • Comfort working with and organizing audience-level data

Nice to Have
  • Previous project experience combining data and marketing

  • Experience with CRM platforms and customer data systems

  • Familiarity with data warehousing or business intelligence tools

  • Experience working with data schemas, attributes, or data flows

  • Interest in film, entertainment, and IMAX

Hiring Range :
$21.00 (per hour) Placement within this range depends on a candidate's experience, skills, internal equity, and regional market factors. Eligible roles may also receive additional non-discretionary compensation such as shift premiums or overtime pay.
