The Business Intelligence Intern will support the Business Intelligence team in designing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level analytics and executive dashboards. This role offers hands-on experience working with real-world data, modern analytics platforms, and cross-functional business partners while contributing to high-visibility reporting used by senior leadership.
Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of enterprise dashboards
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations and Financial Analysis teams to automate, streamline, and modernize legacy reporting processes
  • Assist in migrating reporting and analytics workflows to scalable, cloud-based solutions
  • Help shape how data is structured, visualized, and presented to enable clear, actionable executive insights
  • Participate in an agile, team-based environment by completing well-defined tasks aligned with business priorities
  • Build an understanding of the company's business model, data flows, and performance metrics
  • Support documentation efforts, including dashboard definitions, data sources, backlog refinement, and user stories
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned as business needs evolve

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools or online/server-based analytics environments (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, similar platforms)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including quantitative and conceptual reasoning
  • Basic knowledge of Python, SQL and relational data concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; strong Excel skills preferred
  • Ability to think proactively, analyze problems, and deliver solutions within defined timeframes
  • Interest in working with data, systems, and technology to solve real-world business problems
  • Demonstrated curiosity and motivation to tackle complex challenges

Education and Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.

Working Conditions:
  • Work performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 10 pounds independently; and stooping, reaching, and/or bending to perform accounting clerical/filing requirements.
