Job description

OVERVIEW
The University of St. Thomas's Computer and Information Sciences department invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty member to teach one or more Computer Science courses.
The salary range for the College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct positions ranges from $5,994 to $6,717 (per 4 credit undergraduate course, 3 credit graduate course). Rate of pay is determined by academic credential and years of teaching experience.
Courses could include Introduction to Programming (Python or C), Introduction to Computer Technology and Business Applications (Microsoft Excel and Access), Object Oriented Programming (Java), Data Structures (Java), Computer Security (x86 assembly), Computer Architecture, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Networking, Database Systems, and other Computer Science electives. Applicants interested in teaching an existing or alternative course should have demonstrated experience in that area.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications for the position include either:
  • A master's degree in computer science or a closely related field OR
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field and at least 18 graduate credits in computer science
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or eligible for legally required exemption such as a medical or religious reason
