Job Summary:
University Cancer & Blood Center is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families. They are seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst to manage support requests, perform technical troubleshooting, and provide onboarding for employees within their systems.
Responsibilities:
• Manage support requests for phones, computers, network access, etc., and escalate to Lead Services Desk Analyst and/or IT System Administrators as needed.
• Provide support in person, over the phone, and via remote access
• Perform technical diagnosis and troubleshooting for users with hardware, software, peripherals, and connectivity issues. Identify, prioritize, and resolve end-user technical problems and questions.
• Onboard and offboard employees, students/residents, research monitors, etc. in all relevant systems as required
• Install and upgrade hardware systems and software applications
• Provide basic computer training as needed for new staff or physicians
• Follow up with staff and physicians and complete support tickets in a timely manner
• Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate degree in information systems, computer science, or related field; or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
• 1+ year of diverse experience in the information technology field.
• Extensive computer hardware and software technical knowledge, including usage, installation, repair, and configuration.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently under deadline pressure.
• Must be able to work independently; resourceful and action-oriented.
• Able to travel to different company work locations.
• Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours to complete projects or resolve problems.
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, some bending, stooping, and stretching to include lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Potential for exposure to communicable illness from contagious patients.
• Extensive computer work, including viewing computer screens for long periods of time.
