Job description

Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the business and IT leaders to ensure value is delivered from IT investments and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide technological and strategic guidance and leadership in the development of both internal and external software projects as well as infrastructure.
  • Manage budgets, including payout cadence, tracking estimated vs. actual expenses, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status to multiple stakeholders, including project and executive leadership.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Five (5) or more years of complex project management experience and relevant education and/or training.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team where other team members may be located remotely.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
  • Excellent English-language written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or similar project management software.
  • Strong business acumen in addition to information technology knowledge.
  • Minimal travel, mainly local.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and align cross-functional stakeholders without direct management authority. PMP or other relevant certifications and/or training.
  • Smartsheet experience.

Summary Pay Range: $88,200 -$135,250
