Job Responsibilities & Requirements
A Brief Overview
We are looking for a Level I Cybersecurity Engineer to join our security team. You will handle day-to-day security operations tickets and support core security controls across our environment, including email security, endpoint and privileged access management, EDR, and host-based firewall policies. This is a great opportunity to build hands-on experience across a wide range of security technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Triage and resolve security operations tickets, escalating as needed
  • Administer and monitor email security tools - managing policies, quarantine queues, and threat response
  • Support privileged access management (PAM) and endpoint privilege management (EPM)
  • Manage EDR policies and investigate alerts across workstations and servers
  • Configure and maintain host-based firewall policies on Windows, Mac and Linux endpoints
  • Document findings and contribute to team reporting and metrics

Qualifications
  • Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or Computer Science and/or 1-2 years of experience (IT or Cybersecurity)
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security, email security, and access management concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Intune
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings clearly

Nice to Have
  • CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or similar certification
  • Hands-on experience with CyberArk (Vault or EPM), CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or similar tools
  • Exposure to SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel
