Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Online Banking Lead Software Engineer - Apply Platform (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Optimize performance and maintain consistency across different software product experiences.
  • Develop reusable workflows and components that support multiple products and partners within the Apply platform.
  • Utilize expertise in US Bank-Alliance Apply to collaborate with business stakeholders, analyze requirements, and translate them into comprehensive technical specifications for system implementation.
  • Perform comprehensive code reviews using both manual techniques and AI-powered tools while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Foster team growth by promoting secure coding standards, robust CI/CD pipelines, and architectural excellence.
  • Monitor production systems and manage post-release maintenance using Kibana to ensure high availability and reliability of the Online Apply Platform.
  • Implement observability, resilience patterns, and lead incident response for quick recovery.

Basic Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, followed by 5 years in a progressively responsible Software Developer, or related, occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:

1. Gather and analyze requirements;

2. High level design, development, and support;

3. Manage team activities;

4. Code review;

5. Eclipse, HTML, J2EE, Java, Jenkins, Jira, Maven, SonarQube, and Spring Boot; and,

6. AngularJS, Oracle, Selenium, SOAP, and Spring Cloud.
