Job description

Inside Sales Representative

Texas Johns is seeking a motivated, competitive Inside Sales Representative to generate new event-service business throughout Texas. This is an outbound sales position for someone who is confident making cold calls, finding new opportunities, handling objections, and closing sales.

The representative will target event planners, venues, municipalities, schools, churches, nonprofits, sports organizations, festivals, fairs, concert promoters, wedding planners, and other event-related customers in the DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston markets.

Services include portable restrooms, restroom trailers, handwashing stations, temporary fencing, roll-off dumpsters, and other event services.

Duties:

  • Make consistent outbound cold calls and prospecting emails.
  • Research and identify new customers and upcoming events.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
  • Qualify prospects, identify decision-makers, and understand their service needs.
  • Prepare quotes, follow up on leads, handle objections, and close new business.
  • Sell multiple services when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales information.
  • Coordinate with operations and scheduling teams for a smooth customer handoff.
  • Develop repeat business and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Meet established activity, sales, and new-customer goals.

Required Skills:

  • Proven inside sales, business development, or business-to-business sales experience preferred.
  • Strong cold-calling, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Confident asking for the sale and overcoming objections.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and results-driven.
  • Able to create leads independently rather than relying only on incoming opportunities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple prospects, quotes, and deadlines.
  • Basic computer and CRM skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Experience in any of the following is a plus, but not required:

  • Event rental or event-service sales.
  • Business-to-business sales.
  • Hospitality, event venues, catering, or event planning.
  • Building a sales territory through cold calls and email prospecting.
  • Portable sanitation or restroom-trailer sales.
  • Temporary fencing or roll-off dumpster sales.

This position is best suited for a determined salesperson who is comfortable with daily outbound calling and is motivated by winning new business.

Texas Johns is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, performance, and business needs.
