Position Summary

The CRO Bench Tech II position provides support to the Central Repair Depot to troubleshoot and repair electronic & electro-mechanical assemblies of Lottery and Gaming equipment. This position will review blue prints, wiring schematics and circuit board assembly.

Job Functions:

  • Skilled troubleshooting and repair of PCBs and electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to create and maintain repair manuals
  • Ability to create and maintain training programs
  • Ability to document repairs in Astea
  • Ability to document the diagnoses of the repair, troubleshoot and repair in accordance with CRO procedures.
  • Ability to complete documentation in a timely fashion in accordance with CRO protocols
  • Full knowledge of blueprints and wiring schematics for troubleshooting and wiring
  • Maintain safe, clean and orderly work environment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Work with employees / customers as it relates to hardware support, repairs and training.
  • Advanced understanding of theories of electronic circuitry and components.
  • Proficient at electronic repair and rework. High level soldering skill required. (Electronic rework certification a plus).
  • Must have previous experience troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards or electronic assemblies to a component level.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, test instructions and complex schematic drawings.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to train and become certified in IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies and IPC-A-7711/7721 Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Proficient in use of electronic test equipment. Such as: oscilloscope, DMM, trackers and signal generators
  • Ability to perform root-cause failure analysis and generate corrective actions.
  • Repair knowledge / experience across a broad range of electronic products and repair scenarios desired.
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 45 pounds.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of attention to details.
  • Ability to provide courteous and timely service to internal/external customers.

Education

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Associate degree in electronics or equivalent training

Years of Related Experience

A minimum of 3 years of related experience
