Job description

Overview

Our Top Client has an IT Support / Asset Management for IT Warehouse contract to hire opening. This person must work on site in Quebec City.

Location: Quebec City, Quebec

Duration: Long term Contract to hire

Note: This job is working on government projects so proper work authorization is required.

Duties:

  • Maintain the inventory of workstations and telephones in the various computer systems such as Zebca and Octopus (Service Now);
  • Conduct cross-platform checks to ensure inventory is compliant in both platforms;
  • Maintain 15 to 20 positions on a regular basis ready to be deployed;
  • Work closely with the Control Technicians to ensure that the equipment request is completed as requested;
  • Distribute workstations and equipment to Technicians according to the requests received;
  • Follow-up, receive and process returned equipment when a resource leaves or when a site is closed.
  • Collaborate with the buyer group to determine products missing from deliveries and, if necessary, contact suppliers related to damaged products;
  • Use the company's inventory software platform to verify products and compare deliveries to current orders;
  • Work with substation equipment suppliers to ensure equipment is captured in autopilot platforms and identified prior to delivery;
  • Maintain cell phone lifecycle lists;
  • Maintain computer lifecycle lists;
  • Maintain iPad lifecycle lists;
  • Manage the recycling of obsolete equipment and ensure its destruction in accordance with the terms and conditions established by the cyber security team;
  • Maintain equipment rooms in good order as well as inventory of equipment other than extensions and telephones (peripheral);
  • Perform routine maintenance checks of the warehouse area and perform cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Office 365 suite required;
  • Be able to lift 18 kilos (40 pounds) at a time;
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Have great attention to detail;
  • Be able to follow and document instructions and instructions;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Be able to organize and label storage spaces;
  • Be autonomous.
