Overview

The Maintenance Repair Worker I will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work to maintain all physical aspects of the facility while maintaining OSHA compliance and working cooperatively with other departments to assure facility readiness and smooth operation of events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $27.00-$31.00

Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

This position will remain open until November 13, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Perform painting, flooring, carpentry, masonry, glass repair, and construction as directed at a highly skilled level, inclusive of but not limited to drywall installation and repair, detailed professional painting, ceiling repairs, carpet and ceramic tile repair and/or installation, and door repairs.
  • Plumbing repairs and maintenance to drainage and irrigation systems, commercial kitchen equipment, commercial restrooms, and hot water systems.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance for facility maintenance equipment for the building, including but not limited to staging equipment, basketball equipment, building equipment, and door repairs.
  • Assist/handle facility projects such as but not limited to new construction.
  • Daily inspections of the facility to detect malfunctions and/or needed repairs.
  • Completion of the Maintenance Pre-, Post-, and Event Checklists for all events.
  • Maintain all shops in a clean and organized manner.
  • Check email daily and communicate/update via email-this includes but not limited to receiving work orders, updates of status of work, materials needed to be ordered, etc.
  • Maintain and update the Computerized Managed Maintenance System (CMMS) daily.
  • Work with the maintenance supervisor to prioritize work orders and manage materials to complete works by deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with all departments, outside contractors, clients, employees, and guests.
  • Work well with co-workers and/or have the ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Respond to promoter requests and event requirements.
  • Equipment operation includes forklifts, scissor lifts, snow removal equipment, power tools, and associated equipment.
  • On-call status for building emergencies and inclement weather responsibilities.
  • Assist operations crew as directed.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or a stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Respond to routine, precautionary, and emergency alarms for building automation and life safety systems.
  • Adheres to OSHA and other applicable safety codes.
  • Know and guarantee all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations, and emergency procedures are followed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2+ years of related experience at a facility/commercial building doing commercial maintenance work.
  • Skilled and/or semi-skilled in maintenance and repair in carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Demonstrated skill use with all common hand tools, power tools, meters, and equipment typically utilized in facilities maintenance.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Basic computer skills (inclusive of email and CMMS system).
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions applicable to building equipment and repair.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, bobcats, and scrubbing machines.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Must be comfortable working from various heights.
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with moderate to loud noises.
  • Able to perform frequent bending, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, and extensive walking through the building.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work before and/or after a regularly scheduled shift as needed.
