Job Summary:
The Repair Technician takes personal responsibility for the quality, aesthetics, and efficiency when repairing electro-mechanical assemblies whether per written procedures and verbal instructions. Able to troubleshoot, evaluate, test, and repair electro-mechanical assemblies to a high quality standard. Willingness to escalate known or suspected problems until satisfactory resolution is received.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
  • The service and repair of electro mechanical parts and assemblies based on written procedures and technician's knowledge.
  • Evaluation of customer parts to determine repairs required to refurbish parts to standard.
  • Implement and test repair of customer parts.
  • Consistent, superior work quality with limited supervision required.
  • Time management.
  • Assist with continuing process and quality improvement in all jobs.
  • Accurate input of information required by the Repair System.
  • Maintenance of personal work station and any other workstation used in the course of completing a Work Order for repair or assembly.
  • Willingness to provide assistance in Shop as required.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • At least 2-years in an electro-mechanical production/repair setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to understand the product and differing customer requirements.
  • Basic electronics experience in a production/repair setting
  • Basic electronic schematic and mechanical drawing reading skills.
  • Basic Electronic and mechanical measurement instrument skills. (eg., DMM, oscilloscope, calipers, micrometer, indicator).
  • General computer software skills. (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Basic knowledge of components used for repair (e.g., fasteners, connectors, passive components, semiconductors, ICs, sensors, motors, solenoids, belts, rollers.)
  • Basic PCB soldering skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
