Job description

General Purpose:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role involves coordinating internal resources across multiple disciplines and third-party vendors, managing project risks, and ensuring alignment with company goals and values. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication, resolving issues, and driving project success through effective leadership and decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects from initiation through completion.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project milestones.
  • Oversee the development of detailed engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project progress using earned value management (EVM), schedule performance indicators, and cost control tools.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, dashboards, and post-project evaluations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices to future projects.
  • Monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.

Qualifications:
  • Engineering/Construction background with Industrial experience in the Power, Steel, Chemical or Oil & Gas industries
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from four-year College/University; and five (5) years related experience or Ten (10) or more years' experience in the Industrial Construction field as a supervisor or manager.
  • Experience in leading the full lifecycle of EPC projects, from concept development through engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and financial management skills.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and estimating.
  • Knowledge in the use of engineering and construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Demonstrate skills critical for managerial success, including leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgement and developed personal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to attain, foster, and promote good customer relationships.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial, technical, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write presentations that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to upper management and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam (PDF), and Viewpoint (Financial).
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) or Primavera (P6) scheduling software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar is preferred.

Physical Requirements: Will regularly sit, use hands/fingers, reach with hands/arms. Will frequently stand, talk/hear, perform repetitive motions. Will occasionally walk, grasp, climb/balance, bend/stoop/kneel/squat/crawl. Lift/Carry up to 20lbs. Push/Pull up to 10lbs. Near & Far vision. Regular travel to project sites, client offices, and other locations is required.
Travel Requirements: This position may at times require extended overnight stays to assigned project locations.
Work Environment: Will regularly be in an office environment with ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment. The position will also frequently be in industrial facilities, construction sites, or fabrication facilities with varying noise levels and environmental conditions. Employees must use personal protective equipment as deemed necessary by industry/construction safety standards and/or company safety policy and procedures.
