Job description

Iron Mechanical has an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager. Applicant must have prior experience with Plumbing and HVAC in large commercial, high-rise, and multifamily buildings. We are looking for a person with a great attitude who is also flexible, proactive, and resourceful.

Job Description

  • Provides and directs design and construction services for mechanical systems (plumbing + HVAC) of large new construction of multi-family and commercial projects
  • Ensures all projects are managed effectively from initiation to closure
  • Effectively plans future work to create and establish project schedules and budgets
  • Develops schedules and workload requirements for the project team to ensure effective execution of all planned work
  • Provides supervision of all projects and ensures schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met
  • Inspects projects and provides timely updates to senior management and the GC
  • Develops and implements effective processes to enhance operations and ensures standard operating procedures are updated and implemented
  • Utilizes various Project Management tools to develop reports to monitor and control projects
  • Ensures all field crew members comply with safety and health regulations

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years Project Management or Construction Management experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, piping systems
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with generals, architects, field crew, etc. in a professional manner.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience in data collection and technical writing
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Ability to read CAD/plans/as-built drawings
  • Strong initiative and a self-starter attitude; competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Experience with Spectrum, PlanGrid, and/or Bluebeam a huge plus
