MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager in Milwaukee, WI. Our client is an insurance firm looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a high-visibility Technology Platforms organization supporting enterprise engineering teams. This role will lead and coordinate multiple small-to-medium sized technology initiatives that have broad organizational impact, particularly in the areas of development platforms, API enablement, and shared engineering capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and technically savvy project manager who can independently drive workstreams, manage cross-functional coordination, and communicate effectively with both technical teams and leadership. This position is well-suited for someone with a strong technology background-ideally someone who has worked closely with engineering, platform, infrastructure, or backend development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent technology initiatives across the Technology Platforms organization.
  • Drive execution of domain blueprint activities through completion.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, deliverables, and follow-ups across distributed technical teams.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, and mitigation plans.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership, stakeholders, and partner teams.
  • Support annual planning, intake processes, and organizational roadmap activities.
  • Monitor metrics and delivery progress against organizational goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment on priorities and execution.
  • Support Agile delivery practices and help teams maintain efficient workflows.
  • Provide status reporting, project documentation, and leadership updates.
  • Help facilitate coordination across API, platform, infrastructure, and development enablement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a technology-focused environment.
  • Strong experience managing schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams in Agile environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical background or prior experience working closely with engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with APIs, backend systems, SDLC processes, or platform/infrastructure initiatives.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, Asana, Monday.com, or Smartsheet.
  • Experience supporting distributed or remote teams.
